The City of Myrtle Beach is inviting the public to celebrate jazz history at the Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival on Saturday, October 1 from 1:00 p.m. to midnight on Carver Street.
Carver Street was once a major performance destination for jazz legends like Billie Holliday and Duke Ellington, according to the City of Myrtle Beach’s press release.
Special guests for the event include: South Carolina’s Ambassador of Jazz Music, Mr. Skipp Pearson, along with his Jazz Ensemble, James “Bull” Canty, Jazz Etc., Chocolate Chip Band, Tru Sol and Jessie Wilson Jr. and Friends.
