Third Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival: Saturday’s Slate Canceled Due to Lightning

Unfortunately, the Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival’s remaining slate of Saturday performances has been canceled after lightning moved through the area. Jazz festival president Mickey James made the announcement in an abundance of caution, putting festival goers first.

Canceled acts include Oracle Blue, Don Colton and the Mike Frost Band. Our regular schedule resumes tomorrow, beginning at 1 p.m.

Scheduled school bands and choirs from Aynor High, Carolina Forest High, North Myrtle Beach High and Myrtle Beach High had already pulled out of the jazz festival, as classes are still canceled in the wake of Hurricane Florence and its aftermath. Please keep affected students and their families in your thoughts.

The rest of our performances will continue as announced. The remaining schedule for 2018’s third annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival can be found below. Admission, as always, is free. Click through each act’s name, or go to our performers page, for more information.
