The second annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival kicks off one week from today, but community members are already making sure their neighborhood looks its best for it.
Dozens of people showed up to Charlie’s Place to pick up branches and trash, mow, rake, and support one another.
“The goal is just to do as much as we can,” a volunteer said in between digging large rocks out of the ground. “The City of Myrtle Beach will get parks and rec out here next week, making sure everything is finalized nicely. We’re just trying to bring everyone together, keep positive things in the neighborhood.”
